Adult & Teen Challenge has been guiding students through addiction recovery for over 60 years. We offer a Christ-centered approach, helping our students discover and triumph over the underlying causes of their addiction through the love and grace of Jesus Christ. We are confident that a restored relationship with God, through Jesus Christ, can transform those who suffer from hopelessness, despair, and addiction. We base the curriculum we use on God’s Word, the Bible.

Who We Are

Adult & Teen Challenge is an international ministry serving adults and teens whose lives have been affected by drugs and alcohol. Christ-centered programs all over the world offer hope and healing to thousands of students each month. ATC’s residential centers focus on bringing people out of addiction into a place where the emphasis is discipleship and freedom through Jesus Christ.

Adult & Teen Challenge is a world leader in recovery. Collectively, we have expanded our services to offer residential, non-residential, community-based programs called Lifeline, inmate training, re-entry training, out-patient counseling, violence protection in the workplace, and drug prevention programs. We work closely with Government officials to offer recovery assistance in lieu of incarceration.

Residential Programs

Adult & Teen Challenge programs include specific centers/homes for men, women, women with young children, and adolescent boys and girls. The Stay Sharp Prevention Program is a high-impact program which focuses on abstinence from drugs, violence, alcohol, premarital sex, and self-destructive behaviors. By giving inspiration and hope to today’s youth, it is our goal to reach them before they head down the road of addiction. Stay Sharp is presented by invitation at schools (engaging middle and high school students), at church youth groups, and in other community settings.

Our Purpose

We focus on total life transformation to individuals with life controlling addictions. This is accomplished through the Christ-centered program. We offer practical, appropriate, and impactful Bible-based courses to facilitate transition from addiction to a life of freedom in Christ. When a student is presented with the chance to start over, forming new ways of thinking, relearning how to live a life pleasing to God, he also finds a restored meaning to live and eternal purpose for life. This happens through structured classes, individual study, personal mentoring, prayer, worship, work-ethics training, and involvement in a Christian community.
